fff I forgot how much I love this photoset …
okay, these pictures were taken at AUSA, almost exactly 7 months ago now. At the time, I’d been Homestucked for maybe 2 months and had only recently met Alyssa. When we decided to cosplay John and Dave to AUSA Alyssa told me she had gotten us a photoshoot and found two cosplayers who wanted to do Rose and Jade and we’d get to be the Beta Kids together. I was really excited but I didn’t have any idea who our Rose and Jade were.
We met for the first time the day these pics were taken.
Since then we’ve become fast friends and we all talk to each other all the time. Steph and Lauren and Alyssa are all godsends in my life. We are all Homestuck, yes, but more importantly, I feel like I can talk to them about anything at all, and we can meet up under many sets of circumstances, and they give me advice and I hope I help them feel better and it’s all just very magical.
We are the beta kids. It’s us.
Reblogging for Vikki’s commentary because ww-wweh, it’s ridiculous to think this photoset happened not an HOUR after we all really properly met as a group. The instant friend-chemistry is ridiculous and the above comments make me legit sniffly and sappy over how ridiculously close we all got?? These pictures are the best foreshadowing ever.
